KROC CENTERS

The mission of the Kroc Corps Community Centers is to share the love of Jesus Christ by providing life-changing spiritual, educational and wellness experiences. There are two in our division: The Grand Rapids Kroc Center and the South Bend, Indiana Kroc Center. All are welcome to visit!


PATHWAY OF HOPE

Pathway of Hope is a unique case management program (for families with minor children) that links and coordinates Salvation Army services with community agencies. EMERGENCY DISASTSER SERVICES (EDS)

The EDS program operates five mobile feeding units in our area. These vehicles, commonly called canteens, serve hot food and beverages to victims and first responders. Our Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) volunteers meet physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Read more ...



SOCIAL & ESSENTIAL SERVICES

The Salvation Army provides many types of assistance programs to those in need. We offer utility, housing, and Christmas assistance programs. In some locations we can help with transportation, furniture and prescription drugs. Many locations have emergency Food Pantries. Contact your local Corps for assistance in your area. UTILITIES

Financial assistance through The Salvation Army’s Utility Assistance Program may be available to households which have a utility past-due notice or are facing a shut-off of their utilities. Over 130 caseworkers, serving at more than 100 service locations, help families and individuals pay their utility bills to overcome temporary financial shortfalls and successfully maintain their energy accounts. Read more...



ADULT REHABILITATION CENTERS

The Adult Rehabilitation Center ministers to men and women who are without the ability to cope with their problems and provide for themselves. The Center provides a clean and healthy environment in which men and women can rehabilitate and reenter into society and the workforce. Funding comes from the sale of donated goods, such as clothing, furniture and gently-used household items. TURNING POINT

The Turning Point Program is a drug or alcohol rehabilitation center that provides detoxification and short-term residential treatment. Programming includes daily group therapy, 12-step meetings, and aftercare planning, along with educational lectures. YOUTH

From first grade to college, The Salvation Army helps youth grow in Christ, expand their worldview, volunteer, meet people, gain confidence and discover how they can impact the world. While varying from community to community, programs for youth can include Sunday school, youth troops, music classes, homework help, athletics, arts and crafts, camping, and more. 



LITTLE PINE ISLAND CAMP

Little Pine Island Camp is only seven miles north of Grand Rapids, Michigan – but worlds away from the typical experiences of the children we serve. Started in 1929, The Salvation Army engages over 900 kids each year with seven weekly overnight camping sessions.  Visit online ...
