The driving force behind our various music groups is to proclaim God’s love through musical performance. Each Salvation Army Corps Church strives to feature live music in their services as an offering to God and as a way to demonstrate God’s love. The musicians participating in music groups are volunteers who give of their time for regularly-scheduled rehearsals and performances. The musicians are dedicated to excellence. Through this dedication, they satisfy their desire to not only perform live music but also to be a witness for Jesus Christ.

The Salvation Army has a rich history in Western Michigan and Northern Indiana. In fact, the oldest commissioned Salvation Army Band is in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
