Matching Gifts

More than 1,300 companies sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. If you or your spouse work for a matching gift company, request a matching gift form from your human resource department or download it from your company website. Send it completed and signed with your gift. We will do the rest. The impact of your gift to The Salvation Army may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies also match gifts made by retirees or directors.

Some companies match gifts of cash, gifts of securities, gifts-in-kind, and volunteer hours served on a dollar-for-dollar basis, while others match at ratios as high as four-to-one.

Each year, matching gifts help ensure funds are available to provide the financial resources necessary to serve our community through The Salvation Army’s programs. To find out more about your company’s matching gift policy contact your human resources department.

Here are some employers that offer matching gift programs. If you work for one of these organizations, ask your human resources department how to take advantage of their gift-matching opportunity.
