Character Building – Adventure Corps, Sunbeams, Girl Guards and Moonbeams

The Salvation Army Adventure Corps program is a holistic Christian education experience for boys in grades 1-12.  The Salvation Army Sunbeam and Girl Guard programs are holistic Christian Education experiences for girls in grades 1-12. The Salvation Army Moonbeam program is a holistic Christian Education experience for girls and boys in pre-k and kindergarten.

The goals of the Character Building programs are to develop positive social and communication habits, decision making and life skills, character and leadership.  This is done through a Biblical worldview by encouraging a sense of personal identity and character, Christian values and Biblical principles and physical, mental, spiritual, and social development in a safe environment for learning, developing, and caring that is age appropriate and Christ centered.

Jr. Soldiers

Junior Soldiers are children between the ages of seven and thirteen who have professed Jesus Christ as their Savior and have signed the junior soldiers promise, becoming a Salvationist. Junior Soldiers utilizes the Totally His curriculum while Honor Junior Soldiers prepares children for the next step of leadership in their local corps.

Corps Cadets

A Corps Cadet is a young Salvationist who is at least 13 years old or in the 7th grade who undertakes a course of Bible study and leadership training in order to grow spiritually and become better equipped for effective service in The Salvation Army.
