The Salvation Army of Grand Haven Celebrates 90 Years of Service to the Community

On Tuesday, December 4th, The Salvation Army of Grand Haven will celebrate 90 years of service to the community. In thanks for the many years of support, an Open House Event will be held to highlight past, present and future service of ‘Doing the Most Good’ in the Tri-City area. The event is scheduled 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Grand Haven Community Center, located at 421 Columbus Street in Grand Haven. All members of the community are welcome to attend as Salvation Army memorabilia will be on display throughout the Community Center.

A presentation depicting The Salvation Army of Grand Haven’s history as well as hopes for the future will begin at 5:45. “On behalf of everyone at the Salvation Army of Grand Haven, I’m thrilled to be able to announce this joyous celebration. We are blessed and thankful to say that The Salvation Army of Grand Haven has been able to serve the needs of our neighbors since 1922,” said Captain Jay Davis, Grand Haven Corps Community Center Officer.
