The Salvation Army goes Beyond The Bell

While the Salvation Army is best known for red kettles and ringing bells during the holiday season, there is much more to the story. Begining this year, The Salvation Army is swinging open the doors to many of the various programs and services that serve the Kent County area with the “Beyond the Bell” tour series.
Each month, a new Salvation Army program or service will be open for the community to tour. Events are scheduled for lunch time with food provided and a short presentation made by the program and service leaders.
This month Little Pine Island Camp was featured with facility tours, a delicious lunch and presentations from several of the Little Pine Island Camp staff.
Join the “Beyond the Bell” tour on Thursday, October 18 for a highlight of the Booth Family Services Teen Parent Center, serving pregnant and parenting teens in the Kent County area.
