Return. Recycle. Renew.
If your non-working electronics deserve a better final resting place than the cardboard box in that dark corner of your basement, we have a solution for you. On Saturday, October 8, The Salvation Army is hosting their first annual eWaste Recycling Event as a service to the residents of Kent County. The public is invited to participate by bringing all non-working electronics (computers, cell phones, televisions, photocopiers and fax machines, etc.) to The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center, located at 2500 South Division Avenue South in Grand Rapids. The event is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
The Salvation Army will not accept: hazardous materials of any kind, batteries not integral to computer systems, smoke detectors or any functioning materials. Functioning materials can be donated to The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center. To schedule a pick-up, call 1-800-SATRUCK.
The eWaste Recycling Event is sponsored by The Salvation Army, The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center and the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center.
